Lumberton ISD is leading the way with our School Safety & Security program by hosting our first-ever School Safety & Security Summit on June 7, 2023

This event was conceptualized by our new Director for Safety, Security, & Student Services, Tim Lane, as he begins to help us create a model program for Texas. Lumberton ISD Superintendent Dr. Tony Tipton said, "We are extremely excited to offer this one-of-a-kind event for Southeast Texas and surrounding regions. It will give us an opportunity to showcase our facilities, network with safety professionals from across the state, learn from others best practices, and make our own security program even better. The more we can do to spread awareness of current best practices and emerging strategies, the safer our kids and staff can be."
Lumberton ISD is seeking Title Sponsors and Vendors for the event. Summit attendance is free and we encourage all superintendents, campus administrators, counselors, law enforcement officials, elected officials, first responders, and mental health professionals to attend. The district will put out a call for presentations in January 2023 and expects dozens of top-quality proposals to be submitted. Any school district or safety experts are encouraged to submit proposals for presentations.
