Parent/Guardian Request for Instructional Material Review

Lumberton ISD Board Policy Local, EFA: Parent Request for Instructional Material Review, provides parents and guardians with a formal process to request a review of instructional materials used in the district. This policy ensures transparency, encourages collaboration between families and the district, and allows concerns to be addressed in a timely and consistent manner.

Parents who wish to initiate a review should complete the form below, providing as much detail as possible about the material in question and the reason for the request. Once submitted, the district will follow-up within ten (10) business days of receipt to the parent who submitted the request.  

If the request is not granted, then the parent/guardian has the option to follow local grievance policies.

Thank you for requesting this information on this online form.  This request will be delivered directly to Amanda Jenkins, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.  By local board policy, Amanda Jenkins will review the parent/guardian request and contact the parent/guardian within ten (10) business days of the request.
 
If the request is not granted, then the parent/guardian has the option to follow local grievance policies.
