I love teaching because I can make a positive, direct, and lasting impact on my students' lives. Watching my students grow, succeed, and overcome challenges inspires me each day. The connections I make with my students enriches my life and makes it more fulfilling. I have spent my entire career at LISD and both of my children went to school here. I love the educators, staff, and families in this district. I was incredibly touched and proud to be chosen as Elementary Teacher of the year. Being recognized in this way by the phenomenal group of educators that I get to work with was a huge honor.
